Meditation is a totally different state of consciousness from the normal
waking state. Neither is the mind sleeping or dreaming. In meditation, you are fully
awake and focused ‘within’. You are not concerned about the external world or the events
that are taking place around you. This CD will guide you into one of the most common
meditation practices. Very useful for beginners and even for long time practicioners.
By simply observing, instead of suppressing or expressing thoughts and emotions - we
can simply let them pass through us. This process of observation, this ‘Witness,’
is right on the boundary between the conscious and unconscious. This witness-consciousness
is sometimes called 'self-observation without judgment.'
These meditations were written by Ven. Sujatha Peradeniye and performed by Kurt Peipenbrock.
