Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it called "Bifrost?"

In Norse mythology, "Bifrost" was the name of the rainbow bridge between Asgard, where the gods lived, and Midgard, where the humans lived. Similarly, Bifrost Distribution bridges the gap between wholesalers and the people who make videos, DVDs, CDs and books.

What does Bifrost do?

What Bifrost Does:

Bifrost gathers products from independent filmmakers, musicians and publishers into its catalog and makes them available to retailers and rental stores both directly and through major wholesalers.

What kind of prices does Bifrost offer to rental stores?

Bifrost encourages independent filmmakers to sell their products at a flat price to encourage independent video rental stores to carry them.

Bifrost will sell 1-9 copies of any video to rental stores at the suggest retail price (SRP). Rental stores buying 10 or more copies may purchase them at the wholesale price. Rental stores and small chains may also inquire about making other purchase arrangements.

Under Colorado law a "rental" is considered a "sale" for sales tax purposes so sales to a rental store are considered wholesale sales and thus not subject to sales tax.

What is Bifrost's return policy?

Bifrost will accept returns of any products for any reason within 30 days of shipment. Bifrost will accept return of defective products within 45 days of shipment.
